Risk-Based Pipeline Integrity Management
The engineering principles behind keeping a pipeline safe over its design life: threats, risk assessment, inspection, monitoring, integrity assessment and repair.
- Duration
- 3 days
- Outline
- 9 modules
- On completion
- Certificate from Z-Subsea Energies
About the course
Integrity management is the part of maintenance that keeps a pipeline operating safely and successfully over its design life. This course gives attendees an in-depth understanding of the engineering principles behind it, from identifying threats and assessing risk to inspection, monitoring, integrity assessment and repair.
The course reviews the main integrity management codes and guidelines, including ASME B31.8S, API 1160, DNV-RP-F116 and the Energy Institute guidelines for subsea facilities, and reinforces learning with case studies and worked examples.
What you will learn
Integrity management codes and standards
Identifying typical pipeline threats and failures
Defining a pipeline integrity management system
Assessing and managing risk, qualitatively and quantitatively
Pipeline inspection techniques
