Asset Integrity Management

ILI Data Analysis and Fitness for Service (FFS)

Assessing whether assets with corrosion, dents or gouges can keep operating safely, using in-line inspection and NDT data.

Fitness for Service (FFS) assessment determines whether an asset can continue to operate safely with defects such as local or general metal loss, dents and gouges. It starts from the latest NDT or in-line inspection (ILI) data, compared with earlier inspections of the same asset to establish how features are growing over time.

We calculate safe working pressures and remaining life to DNV-RP-F101, API 579-1/ASME FFS-1, ASME B31G, RSTRENG, PDAM or your own company standard, and help you decide what to repair, what to monitor and when to inspect again.

What’s included

Review of NDT and ILI reports against historical data, with box or signal-to-signal matching to establish growth rates

Identifying the critical features that need immediate assessment

Safe working pressure with the critical features present

Remaining life with features grown at a calculated rate

Inspection intervals and updated IMR plans

Repair procedures and philosophies

Common questions

Which methods do you use to assess corrosion features?

We work to DNV-RP-F101, API 579-1/ASME FFS-1, ASME B31G and modified B31G, RSTRENG and PDAM, or to your own company standard.
