IOCL awarded our subsea design team a contract for an advanced assessment of dents on the 48-inch Paradip offshore pipeline.
We modelled the dents with nonlinear finite element analysis in ABAQUS, assessed associated cracking with CrackWise, and assessed fatigue to DNV-RP-C208. Together these showed whether the pipeline could keep operating safely and what action, if any, was needed.
