Subsea Engineering
Risers Design
Design and analysis of rigid, flexible and steel catenary risers, J-tubes and umbilicals for shallow and deep water, including installation.
We design risers for shallow and deep water, using engineering software such as OrcaFlex, Flexcom and SHEAR7 to obtain design forces and to assess vortex-induced vibration and fatigue life.
For pipeline and riser installation, we analyse S-lay, J-lay, reeled installation and abandonment and recovery for the installation vessel’s motions (RAOs), the sea state and the seabed. Lay tension, bending stress and strain, departure angle and pipeline-to-stinger tip separation can all be optimised.
