Spectrum Pipelines module
Spectrum-Corrosion
Internal corrosion assessment for CO₂ and H₂S, to NORSOK M-506 or the de Waard–Milliams model, at a single point or along the whole pipeline.
Spectrum-Corrosion assesses internal corrosion caused by CO₂ and H₂S in pipelines. Corrosion rates can be calculated to NORSOK M-506 or to the de Waard–Milliams 93/95 model, with the modifications needed to account for the presence of H₂S.
- Point model: corrosion assessment at a single location in the pipeline
- Global model: the corrosion rate at each point along the pipeline, with corrosion profile plots
- A built-in wall shear stress and pH utility, working with Spectrum-Flow Assurance when these values are not available
- An oxygen corrosion utility for water injection pipelines, which also calculates how the oxygen concentration varies along the line
Codes and standards
- NORSOK M-506
- de Waard–Milliams

Data passes between Spectrum-Corrosion and these modules.
Spectrum-Flow Assurance
Hydraulic and thermal calculations for liquid, gas and multiphase pipelines: line sizing, plus pressure, temperature and velocity profiles along the line.
Spectrum-Integrity
Fitness-for-service assessment of corrosion metal loss found by in-line inspection, to DNV-RP-F101, Kastner and modified ASME B31G, with remaining life.
