Dr Afshin Motarjemi

Afshin holds a PhD in the fracture and fatigue of welded joints and has worked in the oil and gas industry in both technical and managerial roles.

He specialises in the risk-based integrity management of subsea systems, pipelines, risers, topsides and onshore facilities; life extension and remaining-life assessment; and Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA) and fatigue. His wider expertise covers materials selection, welding, corrosion and cathodic protection.

Afshin is one of Z-Subsea Energies’ directors and delivers the company’s Pipeline Defect Assessment training course.
